South Evergreen Schoolhouse

1867 –2017

 

On September 23, 2017 we celebrated 150 years of South Evergreen Schoolhouse history.

 

The event was held from Noon to 4 p.m.

 

There was Live music by “The Homemade Jam Band”

 

It was an afternoon of music, food, local history and prizes.

A Homemade pie raffle was held during the event

 

The following are photos from the Sesquicentennial Celebration.

Jim Fitzpatrick had his photo taken with Ester and Ruth.

These two sisters, Ester Hintz Rodgers (on the left) and Ruth Hintz Brifling (on the right), both attended South Evergreen.

At the time of the photo, Ester was 97 and Ruth was 106.
